Active Summer Camp’s Family Fun Day

On Saturday 13th April, Active Summer Camps ran their Family Fun Day at Ridgeway Sports and Social Club. As a summer camp for children aged 5-17, the Family Fun Day was a curtain raiser for their upcoming summer of fun.

The day embedded everything that Active Summer Camps was about. With approximately 200 people in attendance, the families of Derbyshire and Sheffield got stuck into a wide range of activities from the crafty mini golf course to the stylish dance classes in association with Stepz Dance Academy. With a commendable total of 11 activities, the families were kept entertained for the afternoon.

Live entertainment saw the day into the night with guests enjoying the live entertainment and hot food provided. Active Summer Camps exhibited their community spirit by inviting local businesses and attractions to the event. Face painter Arty Sparkles. Yorkshire Water came down to encourage children about safe disposal use, while Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday provided prizes for some lucky winners at the tombola stall.

The day acted as a perfect eye opener for what is to come this summer. By running fun sporting and non sporting activities, alongside the support of local businesses, Active Summer Camps (who are Ofsted registered) is the perfect opportunity for children aged 5-17 to have a summer to remember!

Weekly, or daily, camps run from July 22nd - August 30th starting from £30.
